KEY JOB FUNCTIONS / ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for achieving and surpassing sales targets to grow volume and improve contribution margin
• Maintain and grow existing accounts as well as identify and secure new domestic customers
• Assists the Domestic Sales Manager to develop and implement Business Plans that will support CMP's goals
• Maintains accurate pricing and sales reports for his/her accounts
• Prepares proposals and presentations for internal and external customers
• Manages expenses within approved budget parameters
• Maintains strong understanding of customer requirements and preferences in order to fine-tune short and long term sales focus
• Conduct customer surveys and obtain feedback to measure and address customer satisfaction
• Represents Company at trade shows and industry meetings
• Monitors daily volume and inventories versus forecasts
• Maintains contact with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, relationship and engagement
• Adheres to all company policies and business code of ethics

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years sales experience
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Experience working in the fresh protein/disassembly industry preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
• Willingness to travel
• Knowledge of principals and methods for showing, promoting and selling of products
• External Focus – Knowledge of principals and processes for providing customer service – including customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards and providing customer satisfaction ratings
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at the same time with limited supervision; excellent planning, time management and decision-making skills
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.
• Possess strong mathematical, verbal and written communication skills
• Maintain excellent communication and relationships with others; be a team player; maintain a positive attitude, and work collaboratively cross functionally
• Have a level disposition, motivate fellow associates and foster a team-oriented environment
• Proactive problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement
• Excellent work history, attendance, initiative and drive to succeed

KEY ACCOUNTABILITLY MEASURES:

• Sales Volume/Contribution Margin targets are met and exceeded
• New Business targets (New Customers/Opportunities) are met and exceeded
• Timely and accurate completion of weekly sales reports
• Good communication/understanding cross-functionally
• Customer Satisfaction
