Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance/HACCP Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and managing Conestoga Meats' FSQA and HACCP program to ensure it meets or exceeds industry standards. With a focus on continuous improvement The Quality Assurance/HACCP Supervisor will seek to further improve the food safety culture, the FSQA program, and the capabilities of the HACCP team at Conestoga Meats. This role will also look after facilitating on-going training as required, supervising and directing all hourly QA/HACCP employees, serving as a customer liaison and investigating and addressing any customer complaints




  • Accountable for all QA / HACCP tasks to be performed daily by direct reports on the dayshift 
  • Primary CFIA liaison on  dayshift for any issues or concerns
  • Partner with Operations for any customer returns, complaints or product spec/quality concerns and investigate and formulate strategies and procedures for corrective action
  • On the floor duties to Oversee and perform the following including but not limited to HIP tasks, chemical concentration, GMP monitoring of plant employees, carcass and environmental swabs, blood tests, fat analysis, metal detector failure and safe chemical handling
  • Participate as an integral part of the team for weekly, monthly and yearly audits- BRC as an example
  • Populate KPI tracking and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure company is following all QA /HACCP safety protocol
  • Provide leadership and act as a role model to the department to demonstrate company values on a daily basis
  • Responsible for monthly 1 to 1's with QA / HACCP employees to ensure personal development, engagement and empowerment
  • Other duties as required



  • Post-Secondary Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • HACCP and CVS Training
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in food manufacturing preferred
  • Supervisory experience and excellent communication skill
